Authentication
The CLI authenticates with a Personal Access Token (tqd_…) tied to your
Tanqory account. It's stored locally in ~/.tanqory/config.json.
Browser login (recommended)
tanqory login
This opens the Dev Dashboard in your browser; you're already signed in there, so it mints a token and hands it back to the CLI automatically. Nothing to paste.
tanqory whoami # show the signed-in account
tanqory logout # remove the stored token
Token login (CI / no browser)
Create a token manually at dev.tanqory.com → CLI tokens, then:
tanqory login --token tqd_live_xxxxxxxx
In CI, set the token as an environment variable — the CLI reads it automatically:
export TANQORY_TOKEN=tqd_live_xxxxxxxx
tanqory theme push --store <store-id> --theme <theme-id>
Managing tokens
Tokens are managed at dev.tanqory.com → CLI tokens:
- Create — the secret is shown once; copy it then.
- Revoke — instantly disables a token (any CLI using it stops working).
Tokens only grant access to your own DEVELOPMENT stores. They can't touch live stores or other accounts.
Environment overrides
| Variable | Purpose |
|---|---|
TANQORY_TOKEN | Token to use (wins over the stored one — for CI). |
TANQORY_API_URL | Override the API base (default https://api.tanqory.com/api). |
TANQORY_WEB_URL | Override the Dev Dashboard URL used by login. |
